PS: per my kid, it was a school-wide assembly with the CEO of the AI company and the Superintendent of Portland Public Schools, giving away free stuff and telling them this would help "unlock their creativity." To a bunch of middle schoolers.

today i'm niche-annoyed because even late 19th-cent freud knew trauma to be a psychological structure that is very similar to narrativization itself. analogous bordering on self-same -- experienced in the re-experiencing, defined by how it is internalized. storytelling IS "the trauma plot."

The extent to which Oregon's failure to value & fund education is fucking things up for kids, families, and teachers cannot be overstated. I feel like I can count on two hands the number of full school weeks these kids are going to end up with. Teachers are going unpaid. This is wrong & pathetic.
