It's absolutely insane to me that in this day and age a company would reject end-to-end encryption so that cops and feds can actively read people's messages. It also puts that same data at risk from hackers. But that's TikTok, under new U.S. ownership.

I find it amazing how i can literally hear my GPU processing batches of inputs while running some machine learning models. Here's a spectrogram from a recording I made with my phone.

This + Soulseek + sync via iTunes is the only way I can avoid going into psychosis while trying to listen to music on my phone. Buy some CDs/vinyls from your fav artists to offset the freeloading if you wanna support them. They will likely still get more $ than you can ever give them via streaming.

It’s bewildering how bad offline Apple Music is. When I have spotty reception the app just stops working until I enable airplane mode. Now I went to listen to music on an actual plane and all my downloads are just gone. I guess I need to 🏴‍☠️ for a better UX. What’s a good iOS app to play mp3s?

I think coding assistance is the most successful and sensible application of LLMs, by far! I don’t see anti-AI hype as much as I see intolerance for all the BS that has been pushed into products and services where it didn’t fit.
