Farmers and consumers are struggling to pay higher costs while grocery behemoths rake in more earnings. Instead of cutting taxes for corporations and the rich, Washington needs to focus on lowering our costs and funding our food programs.

Those hospitals are in Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Fairfield, Augusta, Lewiston, and right here in Portland, and those hospitals represent thousands of jobs, thousands of patients, and communities that need lifelines to better health care and access. That’s what these healthcare funding cuts mean.
