I'm Steve 'Chippy' Paine. I write about mobility as it relates to tech, camping and motorcycles. I'm planning a 10000 km European tour in '27. My linktree can be found at https://chippy.meetmobility.com

Getting back on the VFR800 after three months on the V85TT was crazy. It sprang to life first go and sounds so, so nice. Alas, it will go on the market soon. Germany, NRW If anyone is interested in a huge amount of quality sports tourer, for very little money. #vfr800 #rc46 #motoguzzi #motosky

I have one of those graphs that people like to show on LinkedIn. "Look what we achieved for our customer." The reality: it's just my blog. Why? I just like writing detailed shit about niche stuff. It helps me process thoughts.

I'm genuinely surprised at the amount of traffic I'm getting on my 12 month old hobby website through Google search. Especially as it's all informational. Mind you, I have a tendency to get rather deep on my reviews. AI can't keep up!

A field bed or a comfy chair on a 6 week #motorcycle tour? I'm testing this for the first time and it's a game changer. Given I'll be sleeping approx 40 nights in a tent I feel that lying will be more important than a comfy chair. I have the expanding stool anyway. Thoughts? #motosky #10ktour

Beeline Moto II, left. SP Connect with Pixel 9 with Calimoto, Moto Guzzi Navigator built-in. One is cool, one is capable, one is conservative. Ultimately, the cool choice is redundant here. I'm not liking the SP Connect mount though. #motosky #v85tt

I've been using the Beeline Moto II recently and you cannot deny that the Moto II design is fantastic. The problem for me is the Beeline planning software. Thx to Calimoto I'm used to configuring different inter-waypoint riding styles. Quick out, windy, twisty, quick back. Not possible on Beeline.

Question for those of you here tracking motosky and also on Threads. Am I missing anything? Meta closed down my account in April and I'm wondering whether to start again. #motosky
