sometimes someone turns up the dragon in you until you're half covered in scales and your hands are claws and you're thousands of feet tall and your tail wiped out miles of the city, and well, what are you going to do about it other than watch your stats grow
i do think lots about the idea of what lies just outside of the player's permitted play area... obviously deltarune is coming at this angle a bit but yknow, oot's unicorn fountain entrance, pokemon's glitch city... thing that does still monopolize my mind on occasion
