Last night, I had the pleasure of enjoying David Suzuki’s playlist performed by the NAC orchestra. I was so excited, I took a selfie before taking my jacket off!

Every summer, a beau takes me to “Shakespeare in the Park.” This year’s play was a Midsummer Night’s Dream with an ABBA twist. I love our tradition!

It was my first time attending Ottawa’s Pride Pageant and I sure hope it’s not the last. What a fun evening!

I snapped a selfie before my date picked me up for another summer adventure. This summer has been the best summer since pre-COVID.

This spring, I “gifted” a garden plot in my backyard to a senior lady who lives in an apartment nearby. It would be hers to plant, to care for, and to harvest. I gave her a key to my gate and permission to come anytime. Over her visits, we have developed a friendship. 💕

I’m so grateful to the lovely gentleman who took me canoeing in Éco-Odyssée near Wakefield for my second time this year. My wish to try “The Adventurer” was granted. ✨✨✨

After a night of cycling to Bluesfest and back, working our way close to the stage, and dancing all night, I woke up a little sore. I guess this is 41? I’m curious how my 60-something date is feeling 😂

I can’t put my finger on what it is, but I love wooden foot bridges. I suspect it’s a combination of the romance and the fact that the organic material doesn’t disturb the natural environment.

There was a wasp nest is my garden Buddha and I was stung multiple time! The Buddha was decapitated to destroy the nest. I’m not feeling very Zen right now.

I’m deep in PhD mode but I’m still managing to find time to have fun. This week’s adventure was canoeing at Éco-Odyssée, a water maze of breathtaking natural beauty near Wakefield. My date and I completed “The Wanderer.” I‘d be thrilled to try “The Discoverer.”

There is never a dull moment in PhD data collection. It’s both exciting and stressful. If you know me, you know how much I love puzzles. Every problem presented to me is like a puzzle to be solved. There is great satisfaction is overcoming a challenge.

Arcade dates are SO MUCH FUN!! This is probably the closest I’ll ever come to riding a Harley where I’m not the passenger.

I’m incredibly excited to be enjoying another thunderstorm. The only thing that could make it better is curling up in bed, safe in the arms of a lover.

You know a show was AMAZING when you still think of it and smile 5 days later. I’m so grateful to the lovely gentleman who was my date for the evening.

Tickets for the 2026-2027 season at The Gladstone went on sale today and I acquired amazing seats for 7 shows, including another sexy and acrobatic performance by the Iron Cabaret. Now I just need dates to accompany me!

The highlight of my Monday was watching the lightning and listening to the thunder from my back deck. Mother Nature will always be more impressive than man-made fireworks.
