Interested in learning Japanese, cooking, music (DIIV, Spirit of The Beehive), and thinking about game design a lot and then not actually making anything.

For years, Telegraph columnists told us climate breakdown is a hoax. Now they say: it's real, but it's too late to do anything about it, so let the bodies pile high (again). Just one long list of excuses not to reduce fossil fuel use. Such newspapers bear as much responsibility as the oil firms.

It’s getting irritating seeing Reform politicians accusing others of ‘incitement’ The same guys who call others traitors, who say ‘a reckoning is coming’ and call for ‘pure, cold, rage’ Oh and they invited a woman who called for asylum seeker hotels to be burnt down to speak at their conference

Remember when the line for these racists was ‘it’s fine if people come here as long as they assimilate and contribute’ Well I don’t think you can assimilate much more than becoming Lord Mayor Turns out they didn’t ever mean that - they are just racist

Matt Godwin is a failure who needs to leave my city the fuck alone. Failed candidate. Failed academic. Failed commentator. Failed intellectual. A massive ego wrapped around a shrivelled and scared intellect, poisoned by bile and subconcious awareness of his own inadequacy.

Blatant lobbying, not for the sake of our country, but for the fossil fuel industry, in which almost all the ultrarich - including, in all likelihood, the proprietors of these newspapers - are heavily invested. These people are not and never will be your friends. www.carbonbrief.org/analysis-uk-...

For three days in a row the heat record for June has been broken in the UK. The same story right across Europe. Any attempts at this key moment to slow climate action is utterly indefensible. We need day one action to accelerate our climate ambition from Andy Burnham.

Record-breaking heat on Saturday (and Sunday) in #Germany, too! June records are being shattered in many places, and even the all-time record is in jeopardy. #heat #heatwave #records

Forecast of temperature maximum on 27 Jun (Sat), model: MOS MIX (DWD)

"The data proves that there is no such thing as anti-white 'two-tier' policing in Britain. If 'two-tier' policing is a thing, a quarter-century of research shows that black and brown communities are overwhelmingly on the receiving end of it." ✍️ @nafeez.bsky.social bylinetimes.com/2026/06/09/h...

How the Far-Right Is Using the Racist Myth of 'Two-Tier Policing' to Exploit Henry Nowak’s Murder

A quarter-century of data tells a very different story about which groups are actually being unfairly targeted by the police, reports Nafeez Ahmed

In an era of multiparty politics - first past the post is utterly broken. It is time for Proportional Representation. The climate crisis & our inequality crisis cannot wait for another general election. Failing to fix our democracy immediately will betray future generations.
