finally getting around to configuring my old laptop from 2019 - bought a new battery recently (it's fourth battery🥹) so it's usable now. I want to rely less on super powerful hardware so I am not incapacitated in the inevitable future

Welcome back to bluesky, a year and a half later. A lot has happened since then, and I have learned a lot and have yet to learn a lot more. I want to further explore lightness, permacomputing and resilience as I explore independence.
Why must I maintain an online version of my real life self? I don't see the necessity.

Always fighting between wanting to engage in large social media movements, and keeping my ground with the spaces that I'm comfortable in Doesn't help when I don't have a presence, but do I really need one?
I should update my about page with my mastodon Being separated into twitter, bluesky and mastodon does get a little unwieldy, but I will be streamlining and reorganizing my social media usage soon.
I don't have much to contribute to the wide and vast online world but I will try and carve out a place for myself that isn't fully under my control
