There's an unspoken rule about not taking up too much space in a conversation. You share something, then pull back and ask about them. Don't overshare, don't go on too long, don't make it about you. We've all internalised it. Which is what makes Personal Stories so disarming.

Incredible to see my Brazilian black tarantula (Grammostola pulchra) molt out in the open. I watched for an hour and a half as he shed his old skin, then crawled into his hide. Has anyone else caught a molt on camera?

Moved an instruction card further from my face just to read it. That's new. Could have felt old. Instead I thought about everyone who never got more years. More ordinary moments. Getting older is a privilege. Wrinkles and reading glasses and all of it. ❤️

When I imagined my sabbatical, I thought I'd dive straight in. Daily workouts. Finance stuff I've been avoiding. Finally working on my AI projects. Becoming that optimised version of myself. Instead… I've been cooking. (1/3)

I spent five years looking forward to my sabbatical… then didn’t take it. For most of my first five years at @Buffer.com, my sabbatical felt like this fun internal countdown. A little milestone on the horizon. Then I hit five years… and I didn’t book it. (1/8)

I’m very much a ‘this might be useful someday’ person. But our house is next level chaotic with the sheer volume of things, so I am trying to change my ways. Yesterday we sold our plastic slide and mini coupes car - and I was lowkey sad and actually said goodbye to them. 😂 Anyone else?

If you’re in #brunei and have not yet tried the local Sembadah rice… here is your sign to give it a try. Such a delicious and fragrant rice. We officially switched our household to this last year - no regrets! Would be super interested if they started selling brown #rice too!

The highlight of coming back to work after our company closure at @buffer.com, is connecting with everyone on the team about what they got up to during the break. Being on break at the same time, means we all have stories to share. It really helps you feel closer as a fully remote team.❤️

We close @Buffer.com for the last week of the year, and it really feels different from any other vacation. With everyone off at the same time, there is no post-vacation catch up or things you missed. It truly is a reset before the new year. Here is why and how we do it: buffer.com/resources/cl...

Why and How We Close Buffer For The Last Week Of The Year

Every year since 2016 we've closed Buffer for a week at the end of the year. It’s like a reset, except across the whole company.

Looking back at my 2025 goals and honestly... it's messy. I wanted to build community online, get fit, be intentional with my time, sort out my finances. Here's what actually happened: (1/6)

How 1 Jan 2026 started vs how it ended. Thought I'd start the year right with a light run while on vacation. Then in the evening, I went ahead and got the worst ankle sprain of my life. I guess I am out of commission for a few weeks. 😅

Anyone have recommendations for resources a millenial parent could use to quickly get up to speed with how kids do math these days (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)? It feels very different from how I learnt it. 😅

I turned 40 and gave myself the best present: proof that I can do things I once thought were impossible. I ran a half marathon. Finished in 3h06m. For many people, that’s slow. For me, it was everything. Here’s to surprising ourselves, and doing the hard things we never thought we could.

We are now officially at #halfmarathon week (4 days to go until race day) and I am so anxious! I am still slow but my aim is to finish before all the the cutoff times. The faster the better - but the goal to finish and get that medal. Any tips for race week?
