Always good to see what my Jamie is up to. This was last night in the Hope Valley, Peak District. Looking smart as usual, he's on the right. I think he has just done three gigs this week, Huddersfield, Manchester, and this one, but there may have been more, he likes to keep busy.
My Consultant is unhappy I made a complaint to the hospital after going in for a new hip, acquiring a spiral fracture to my femur, untreated for two days, another 6 hrs in surgery to have a thigh length plate screwed in, a scar with 86 staples, and an expected recovery of 12 mths 🤷 and no physio yet
18 weeks since my hip replacement, that ended with a spiral fracture of my femur, I have finally heard from Physio Dept, who are 'assessing my referral'. Saw my Consultant last week who gave me the news that my recovery would likely take another 8 months. I am so desperately fed up. 😢
Absolutely made up this morning. Just had a call from Jamie as he’s setting up for day two of his week at Sheffield University graduation ceremonies. Four sets yesterday, same today, 18 this week, then 2 gigs on Saturday. Proud of him 🎷

Younger... Time has gone past so bloody quickly, memories that seem so far away, but still clear as day. I feel so sad today.
Not happy with this ground cover, I'll try tamping it down, and adding grass around the edges, hopefully I don't have to remove it!!!
Tomorrow I am going to do something, about bloody time! The plan is to 'landscape' the area at the back of the houses, a grassy, muddy path maybe, some weeds, rubbish, a broken bike perhaps. I'll have a look at what I've got and go from there. Any ideas? #modeltrains #n-gauge

31c, 🥵🥵🔥 14 weeks since my op, and I’m sick to death of struggling every single day with pain and lack of mobility. I’m bored, stuck in the house on my own, and totally fed up. Totally unmotivated to do anything. No noticeable signs of improvement for weeks now. It’s hard.

Jamie has another busy week ahead, two days in the studio recording an album, then a wedding at Knebworth Hall, the following night a gig with Ray Quinn in Ramsgate, and then up to Sheffield for a function gig the next evening. Have Sax, will travel!
Today, Thursday, is the 12 week anniversary of the repair to the shaft of my femur, that was fractured two days earlier in an everyday Hip replacement operation. It is likely that it will take 12 months to properly recover. Hey ho 😧
After sitting unused for 20 years, and now rotting, it is time to chuck my old gear into the bin. A lot of memories with those cams and the tiny brass RP nuts. The memories from a lifetime. Definitely a bit sad, but these are junk now. #climbing
