Some genuinely interesting characters in this photo but I just noticed the man in the centre-right, with his hands in his pockets, trying to aurafarm

Reading into WeRateDogs lore and apparently he was accused in the past of changing a dog's name from something in Arabic to "George" to be more metric-friendly

Landships are hilarious because after a century the debate is "these are completely unfeasible because they'd destroy any road they travel on, become constantly stuck on any soil they drive over, would be annihilated by enemy aircraft, and need a lake of fuel" vs. "they look cool and scary"

I think I am actually going to concertedly pursue private therapy now as it's clear NHS mental health support is not taking itself seriously. Time to cut that mental burden loose.

A shockingly large amount of academic organisations have webpages detailing their dedication to "open data," even going as far to have documentation for every file, and then don't actually provide the data. I respect them; it takes real chutzpah to be that annoying.

Height is an odd thing at the moment because I don't think I've ever had a British person negatively comment on my height, like, ever. But if you pay attention to Americans you get the impression they're doing SS physical examinations in daily conversation over there.

Genuinely interesting map for obvious reasons, but it also shows you the state of local journalism in your area. There was a huge fire about half an hour from me recently - yet I couldn't find a single reference from local news outlets. Other times you can track them down easily. firemap.live
