Here are 5 things to know about this week’s weather ⤵️ 1. We need rain 🌧️ 2. Rain will be mostly in the north & west 3. V. little rainfall is expected in the south & east 4. After a hot start to the week, temps will return closer to average by mid-week 🌡️ 5. Overall a mixed start to August 🌦️

A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Northern Ireland tomorrow However, heavy showers and thunderstorms will develop for parts of England and Wales as well ⛈️ Although not everyone will seen these, totals could reach up to 30 mm in places

Some of us will see rain on Monday and Tuesday, but this looks like being mainly in the north and northwest. Showers are possible in the south and east and perhaps even a few thunderstorms, but these are likely to be much more isolated and many places will miss out and stay dry.

A fine afternoon for many with plenty of sunshine, though this hazy in places🌤️ Cloudier in northern Scotland and Northern Ireland with the odd shower🌥️ Warmer for most than yesterday and very warm across much of England and Wales🌡️
