Scottish. Weed enthusiast. Life long pro wrestling fan. Rugby, football and cricket fan. Comics and nerd shit is my jam. I got vision and the rest of the world wears bifocals. Follow for lukewarm takes on pro wrestling and other random thoughts.

It’s tough to raise kids well. You don’t want them to be selfish or entitled. My brother always has his kids do the dishes when they visit. They thank whoever made dinner, pitch in to clean up and everyone is better for it. His kids make their beds too when they visit. Little things go along way.

Jade Cargill is the female Ultimate Warrior. All look, no substance once the bell rings. That’s fair enough, but it seems like WWE could do a much better job of presenting her and putting her into matches that are booked to hide her weaknesses. She can’t hang and they’re making it really obvious. 🤼

Bryan Alvarez is 51 years old. Has been covering wrestling for most of his adult life. Yet all he’s really known for is ranting like a child and that annoying -! thing he used to do in FF Weekly. Move the fuck on from listening to this guy. Please. 🙏 🤼

That Rick and Morty spinoff about the President fighting monsters and other weird shit is really good. Very funny. Tons of jokes packed into 20 mins. Very weird too. Like the early seasons of R & M, but with added meta commentary. Your typical Dan Harmon joint and I like those.

The only union that ever existed in wrestling was the NWA. Which was employers forming a union to control their workforce. It’s all ass backwards and has been forever. 🤼

It’s scary how quickly the algorithm on Instagram and You Tube shorts shows me violent street fights. And then plenty of anti immigration shite. They’re just openly brainwashing folks. Need to get the fuck off all this stuff soon. It’s not social and it’s no fucking good for your brain.

Everyone got used to paint by numbers wrestling presentation and execution, that when artists are allowed to express themselves and flourish, people say “they’re doing too much” or “this isn’t how wrestling should be.” It’s hard to accept change. But you’ve got to. AEW is that change 🤼

If you’d have told me a decade ago, that there would be a wrestling company in the US, on prime time tv, with regular PPVs and TV specials, showing casing a roster of diverse, young, international stars, putting on state of the art matches, I wouldn’t believe you. AEW is special. It just is. 🤼

Got a new iPhone and this fucking stupid black bar at the top of the screen is the stupidest piece of design I’ve ever seen. And you can’t get rid of it cause that’s where the selfie camera is apparently. My nephew said this is an old man complaint. And he’s right, I’m old and it’s annoying.

Watching a Vader v Kawada match from 2000 AJPW. And yes, it’s as brutal and incredible as you’d imagine. I think Vader is easily one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time. His WWE run really put a downer on what was an amazing career. His rebirth in AJPW was something really special. 🤼

I know everyone hates Apple and rightly so. But dudes, when you get a new iPhone (like I did) and all you have to do to get all the stuff from your old to phone to the new one is put them next to each other, that’s some really helpful tech magic. Thanks to small child in Asia who made the phone too.

You know whose opinion on Jon Moxley I care about? His coworkers and colleagues. Who are all full of praise for the things he done for AEW. He bet on himself and a new place and he won the fucking jackpot. Keep your safe, boring, predictable WWE corporate synergy shite. Mox IS AEW. True legend. 🤼

I check clear sky every now and again just to see what weird lists I’ve been added to. I’m now on a list of “supporters of dirty Leeds United.” This is news to me, given I support Glasgow Rangers. Says on the list description that “bio suggests fan of dirty Leeds.” Again, news to me. Place is weird.

I just heard a stand up describe those mad, shouty, drugged up types you get on the streets these days as “social hand grenades,” and that might be the most accurate description I’ve ever heard.
