musicologist (associate prof, Temple U), Philadelphia’s 36th leading SEPTA Route 2 busfluencer. wrote a book about operetta. she/her.

My university has switched from Perusall to Leganto for social annotation. Has anyone used both and can offer any wisdom/comparison? (This is due to Perusall's movement to a paid model.) (unfortunately edtech has spelled the end of my social media vacation)

I'm taking a light social media vacation because I think too much phone time has been giving me headaches. I will be off being very productive (working on sewing projects, alternating Taskmaster and international art film) if anything exciting happens or if I have a really good tweet I'll be back

not sure I still qualify as a pro critic but three impeccable pre opera dinner options: 1. fish cafeteria behind the Deutsche Oper Berlin 2. Surinamese restaurant in the subway stop next to the Dutch National Opera 3. Kammerspiele restaurant near the Bay Staats, Munich

On my way to glyndebourne for the first time. Reminded of this fun piece, where I asked friends at the Guardian, Observer, NYT, Spectator and more about their pre-concert dining options. Ft an enjoyably elegiac ode to Pizza Express’s American Hot by Richard Bratby van-magazine.com/mag/pre-conc...

if you are one of the several musicology instructors who does Reba's medieval scriptorium activity and are interested in a version gamifying this into a full-blown manuscript-copying scavenger hunt competition, please let me know. I have some ideas.
