Well there's clearly no fuel crisis in this country. Multiple large diesel-run Ford Compensators were idling off their excess fuel this afternoon at the shops, while the drivers scrolled their phones. Diesel is obviously so cheap and plentiful that one has to make a special effort to burn it up.

So, today I finished harvesting my broad beans (fava beans) from my backyard veggie patch. 8.8kg from a 4.3 square metre bed. That’s unshelled. Now begins the process of shelling, blanching and freezing. All grown organically, no sprays or artificial fertilizer.
