One tip if you want to go on holiday in Spain but you don’t like overly expensive, packed tourist places. Go to a town that doesnt have a beautiful sand beach. You mostly see Spanish tourists here, housing is twice as cheap, village is just as nice as famous places.

Really liked this episode. I read Steve's Kill the Hippo book and it was a great read. I expected it to be boring because it is about features, but same as in this podcast episode, it cuts right through the bullshit of most of the feature frameworks, almost no real businesses actually uses.

Oh look I’m on a podcast talking about my book, my company, and how much harder it is to get a bootstrapped SaaS off the ground these days. overcast.fm/+AAECTDTh118

From ~4000 free accounts, ~400 are still active. 56 of them showed interest in being on our MCP beta program. That is 14% and much more than I would expect! A lot more interest than our public API ever had. Not saying API was a bad move, those accounts are super sticky and don't churn that much.

Just hung up this painting in our new living room. I've been looking at it every day for the past 7 years, and I still love it. It's one of my favorite paintings. 👍

I always try to share this important message to the world. If you work hard enough, you could be as lucky as I am and being able to buy the car of your dreams 👌💰💰

see indie hackers make this mistake all the time. The advice is: solve your own problem, then find more people like you. The problem? You probably wouldn't pay $50/month to solve that problem, so people like you probably won't either.

Just found this one. Photo looks like I'm having fun at 6088 meters (19973,75 feet) altitude, but I couldn't feel the tips of my fingers for 2 months because I had frostbite 🥶🤣

Out of my control: I think about business too much. In my control: My 30 minute morning routine and take this fella for a walk. He even forced me to talk to 5 other dog owners, the basterd!

I know how to protect against spammers, but not how to actually attack myself. I always wondered: how can a spammer attack from so many different IP addresses, from so many differnt countries? Turns out my most recent spammer simply uses Tor exit nodes.

If most of your users come from your socials and you keep launching and discontinuing products, you kind of telling your audience not to buy software that might soon become obsolete.

Fighting a lot of spam signups while moving. I have an invisible captcha in place but that stopped working. What is the best captcha solution out there? Ideally, very unobtrusive for real users.

Im getting a lot of spam signups with valid credit cards. Is there any way to report this and notify the CC owners? I don’t charge because of a trial period. I’m 99.9% sure the CCs are stolen en 90% sure they are working

I knew I would never get this view again in my life, so I had to enjoy it right then and there. Today, every day. Tonight will be our last meal here with the family, and I'm really sad to leave.

Our kids love, and are allowed, to open broken electronics. One tip though: don't accidentally put your expensive, still perfectly functioning Bluetooth speaker in the recycling box....

Avo 4 is here 🎉 15 months, ~2000 commits, and about 50 teams kicking the tires. It's a full redesign, not a fresh coat of paint. A safer way build your internal tools 🧵

Customer: Can you please delete these 1300 proposals? Me: Sure! One day later Customer: Actually, can you restore them? I changed my mind. 😂 (Luckily I mostly soft delete!)

“Kids cant focus anymore” Well, you might want to get them away from screens a bit more. They have been in the library for two hours and they are angry because we need to leave for dinner 😂
