Shocked to hear the news of the death of Glen Hansard. I met him when I was a teenager, my friends and I were the only people dancing at a Frames gig. He invited us to hang with the band after, singing songs on the guitar. After that he was always warm and friendly when I saw him. The loveliest man.

I always classify Any Time At All in the same bracket as All I’ve Got To Do and It Won’t Be Long, for some reason. Classic John, with a Paul middle 8. #harddays26
Can’t Buy Me Love is the song the hooked me in to The Beatles in the first place. My entry point. The energy is fantastic, and Paul’s double tracked vocal. Wow. #harddays26
Paul’s walking bass on Tell Me Why is fantastic. Also, the version on Anthology 4 is beyond joyous. #harddays26
And I Love Her - George should have had a writing credit for his classical guitar riff. #harddays26
If I Fell .. John trying his hand at writing a ballad. The song they use to cheer Ringo up in the film. And those harmonies! #harddays26

Liverpool adventures continued … as well as #Maccawatch Part 2, at the M&S Arena at Kings Parade yesterday. I got as close to Paul as I’ve ever been .. a real thrill to see him looking so happy and healthy. Congratulations to all the graduates of LIPA too. 💜
