Happy New Year! Welcome back to our academic staff! The library staff are back to work and our to do lists are filling up. Here's your reminder that you need to request your new reading list and we will let you know when it's ready to update. As always email us with any queries.

Our annual Thurles Christmas video is here for you all to enjoy! We are signing off today from MIC Thurles and Limerick Libraries for the Christmas Break, to all our staff and their families Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. We are open until December 23rd and will reopen on January 2nd.

Week 12 is upon us & the library staff are hard at work making sure that our books are available for both staff & students. We have gone through Lost and Missing Lists, please check your shelves and desks and bring library books back to the Library Desk, we can reissue or return them for you.

Our first MIC Thurles graduating class to graduate here in Thurles! We are so proud of you, Class of 2025, and so happy we had the chance to celebrate alongside you all. Our graduates made the processional walk from the Cathedral back to St. Pat’s Campus and the sun shone all day long! Congrats!!

An exciting week in Thurles! For the first time since St. Pats. Thurles became MIC Thurles we are holding Graduation back in Thurles! We can't wait to see our Class of 2025 walk out of the Cathedral on Friday with their degrees. The library will close at 5pm Thursday & remain closed Friday Oct 31st.

The Mary Immaculate College Research Repository - MIRR, gives access to published and unpublished works of MIC faculty and researchers as well as research Masters and Doctoral theses and dissertations awarded to MIRR researchers, digital archives and internal collections. #MIClibraries #MIRR

It's Academic Integrity Week: what better way to mark it that highlighting our Academic Learning Centre in Room 219 with Deborah on Wednesdays here in Thurles. If your students are struggling or just need someone to chat to to help develop their skills please let them know Deborah is here to help.

MIC Limerick Library has a large Audio-Visual collection which includes teaching resources for School Placement, CDs and DVDs, and Microfilm documents such as Manuscripts and historic Newspapers which can be viewed our microfilm readers. The AV Library is located on the first floor.

We offer: Material for School Placement (e.g. posters, CDs, DVDs, cards, books, kits, realia). DVDs (e.g. feature films, documentaries, television series). CDs (Audio recordings compilations of voices that have been captured as they discuss their own lives, histories and experiences of events in Irish national and social history). Microfilm (Mainly national and regional newspapers from the 19th and 20th centuries, with some newspapers from the 18th century, and manuscripts from the National Irish Folklore Collection).
