God, at least old propaganda art was interesting and said something. Now it's just government accounts that are the equivalent of 12 year olds pumping out "edgey" memes that are dead on arrival.

Voice acting is embracing a level of paranoia and secrecy about a project that the community manager of the project's socials can call you the name of the character in their replies and you still aren't sure if you are cleared to announce your involvement 😅

I hate how numbers can be tied to this career. They can dictate your success in whether or not your audition gets heard, projects you can get invited to, whether or not you get cast and ultimately, once the numbers are high enough, when you can leave these hell sites for good😅

I think the ability to edit our photos so casually and remove people from them makes our future such a bleak place. Removing a piece of something that happened will make our memories so sterile and our past a safe, boring reality.

At the rate these companies try to justify their investment by shoving AI into things it wouldn't surprise me if one day I boot up my e-reader and a little icon pops up and offers to summarize the book for me.

An important thing to think about for remote vo talent. When you go into a session remotely you don't just represent yourself. You represent all remote talent. A producer/engineer will sometimes base their opinion on one bad session or poor sounding space for all remote talent.

It fucking sucks that there is gonna be a generation of people whose exposure to some classic films is going to amount to a two minute clip which flips the image, over saturates or slaps a filter over it, wipes the clip and has a FUCKING LINE THROUGH IT.

I think the ultimate fulfillment from being an actor isn't fame or recognition but the understanding that you are a part of something that gives people the opportunity to feel something. Whether that be joy, sadness, anger or anything. To be a part of a story that makes you feel.
