for #FE3H30weekendnsfw, i was wanting to write some bad erwin/balthus smut but not sure i will actually complete it I was inspired to write at least a snippet though <3

When the King of Grappling took a job with the illustrious Gloucester family, he had expected a variety of assignments. Even just in service of Count Gloucester, he had been a bodyguard, had done some dirty work beating up some bandits, and even a simple job cleaning out the stables when he’d been real low on money.
But he had never been hired by anyone for this kind of job before.
With nothing on but the whipping cream and fruit that covered his body, Balthus sat lounging in Erwin’s sitting room, waiting to be… eaten. He had assumed that they’d be hiding their escapades from Lady Gloucester, but instead, the salt-and-pepper haired lady sat cozy in her chair, watching. Was she going to get in on this action, or was she just going to watch the show?
Well, he would enjoy the fun. After all, Erwin was unquestionably into him, and who could blame him? His muscles were well-sculpted from years of mercenary work, and after the war, Balthus had ended up taking work in the Federation, which had kept him sharp. So who could resist this body and its rippling muscles?
A lot of people, it turned out, but if one of the country’s richest men was one of the people who was into him, then he was a luckier man at love than he had ever been at gambling.
Erwin came out of his bedroom wearing nothing but a thin robe. “I see that dessert is served, my delectable darling.” The older man moved closer to Balthus, until his breath lingered into Balthus’s nostrils. The mutual attraction was undeniable, and Balthus began to get hard.
“Oh ho ho,” said Erwin. “We haven’t even started yet, and you are already ready for the final course?” he mused as he took a single finger to Balthus’s chest, grabbing a small dollop of cream and licking it.

'As Good as it Gets' archiveofourown.org/works/71828536 FE3H 30+ Weekend, Day 2: Politics. Rhea/Anselma (Patricia) Upon coming to Fhrdiad castle to conduct her duties, Rhea finds an 'abandoned' tower and enters to be alone. She did not expect to meet her old flame, Anselma. #FE3H30weekend

There is no mistaking the chocolate brown hair and lilac eyes, despite the hairstyle and clothing being completely different from Adrestian. It looks quite jarring on her, and the vibe she evokes further gives the impression that she is not comfortable in it and will never be.

“Anselma…?”

The way Anselma snorts is so scathing, and the thin smile to gaze her pale features seem sadder than if she had burst into tears.

“I have not been called that for a long time,” she remarks without the practised poise, something that drew Rhea to her when they first met. Melancholia flickers in her lilac eyes, as if beseeching her to rescue her from this prison. “Do you know what it is like taking on a name that isn’t yours, yet acting like it has always been?”

I do. It takes all of Rhea’s willpower to not slouch or admit that very fact. “…Then I presume you go by a different name to protect your identity.” Another thing that Rhea is so intimately familiar with.

“Patricia,” Anselma answers, the name sounding as if she’s addressed herself that since birth. “I could have been called worse.”

“You do not like the name, or—” Rhea pauses upon recalling that Anselma’s sense of humour has always been… dry.

But she isn’t upset with her gaffe, for the toothy grin to appear on Anselma’s face screams of her having not smiled in such a way in a very long time. “You’re still not the best in socialising with others, I see.”

“Forgive me for being the Archbishop, then.”

The opening of one of my @middleagedfe3h.bsky.social fics for #wipwednesday 😌 not that it'll still be in progress for very long :p Takes place right after the end of CF!!

Cinder and ash saturate the air, clinging to Shamir’s clothes, hands and lungs. Alone, far away from the rest of the Black Eagle Strike Force, she searches through the burnt ruins of Fhirdiad.
Her mind refuses to leave her alone. Their victory should have been sweeter. At least, she was hoping it would have been. Even while searching through the ruined, burned out city for the few surviving civilians, everyone else had seemed so… optimistic.
If only it was just a bit more infectious.
Despite her melancholy, something else still eats at her.
Or, rather, someone.
Catherine.
Before the war, her relationship to Catherine was, in a word, complicated. Shamir had never been one for forming close friendships, and certainly nothing closer even than that, but when she was with Catherine, something was always different. To this day, she can’t really explain herself, but she found it surprisingly easy to be open with her.

The wip I'm trying to crush in time for @middleagedfe3h.bsky.social! Seteth and Hanneman discuss whiskey at the end of a very stressful day.

“You can come in, if you like. I don’t believe there’s anything I’m doing which you would find questionable, given the circumstances.” Seteth had been standing at the door wordlessly for almost a full minute, watching him. Ever the researcher, Hanneman had initially been content to observe what he would do without interfering, but the compounding stresses of the day quickly overrode that instinct.

“My apologies, I wasn’t aware you knew I was here.”

“My request for the floor outside my office to be repaired never went through. It creaks, if you listen closely.”

“Ah,” Seteth acknowledged as he stepped inside. “You do know I must ask what you’re doing. After… the events of today I would be failing in my duties if I didn’t at least check in.” He didn’t sit down.

Hanneman put the papers he was holding in a nearby box and finally turned around to the other man. Seteth carried himself with a certain dignity, even in his off-hours, but having worked alongside him for so many years Hanneman could easily spot the things that fell between the cracks when he was stressed: a button left undone, stray hairs across his forehead, the weight of his position showing in his eyes.

“Please, sit. Would you care for a drink?” Hanneman produced a bottle of whiskey and two glasses from the bottom drawer of his desk.

“Have you had this in your office the whole time?” Seteth’s expression turned to shock, “This is a monastery and school, professor, it is inappropriate to keep alcohol in your office.”

“I’m sure this isn’t the worst revelation you’ve had about a member of the staff here today,” Hanneman allowed himself a cautious smile. “Anyway, this is a whiskey in the same way that Garreg Mach is just a monastery.

Wip for the FE3H 30+ Characters Weekend middleagedfe3h.bsky.social! For Day 2 (Politics) I have written a one-shot of Rhea/Anselma (Edelgard's Mom)~! In which Rhea bumps into her... old flame, secret lover, Anselma, and it's not the reunion one would wish for.

Anselma has always brought on this cheeky side to her that she thought has long died since the Incident of the Red Canyon. She has this charisma to her that draws in all; she could send men to their deaths and they would do so without regrets or complaints. There are many qualities to Anselma von Arundel that makes her (playfully yet also literally) dangerous, and alluring.

Erwin put his hand on his chin. “Do you still harvest the aromatic black tea from your estate, Alvin?”
“We don’t have as much as we used to, but there is still enough for an honored guest,” Alvin said, smiling.
Erwin turned his head toward him. “Excellent Oh, by the way, while I was working with the Federation to ensure that the king” – the word came out of Erwin’s mouth with bile –”did not bring about this country’s demise, I met your daughter, Lysithea. She’s quite the firecracker. She’s bright and talented, and an obvious asset to both you and the Federation.”
His praise made Alvin’s heart swell. “We are truly blessed to have her, Erwin. I’ve heard that your Lorenz has been keeping the king accountable.”
“Pah. He capitulates to whatever Claude wants. But I do not deign to interfere. I am retired from politics, I’m afraid,” Erwin said, his eyes twinkling. “Which means I have the time to visit you.”
The lump in Alvin’s throat seemed to increase in size, his chest tightening. He wasn’t sure if Erwin knew what effect he had on Alvin, and Alvin wasn’t sure if Erwin felt the same way anymore.
But why else would he be here?

He watched as his coachman put the horses in the barn yarn for receiving guests. To be honest, it did not look like there had been many guests received here in recent years. Erwin had known that the Ordelia family had fallen into a degree of poverty, but even still, he was in shock at how dilapidated the manor and the surroundings were. The lawns did not look as well-manicured as he remembered, and the outside of the manor looked like it had not been maintained. Even the guest stables looked pitiful. The fall of one of the great houses, Erwin thought with sadness.
Well, it was no time to dawdle. Erwin knocked on the door of the estate. Corwin, the family’s long-time elderly manservant, answered the door. “Master Erwin!” he exclaimed. “It has been so long since your last visit, sir.”
