the 9-5 was invented to give us work-life balance but back then only one person worked while the other managed the home now everyone works two jobs: their actual job + all the household shit the system is broken and needs to be rebuilt. specially in the AI era.

this is true portugal is cheap and entrepreneurship is rare here, sometimes even looked down on because of this i catch myself getting too comfortable and losing my drive to push harder x.com/levelsio/st...
humans weren't made for corporate life sitting all day staring at screens, pointless meetings, playing politics to climb a ladder that doesn't exist this shit is unnatural why do we keep doing it to ourselves?
adulthood is just figuring out different ways to cook ground beef, chicken breast and salmon
so we pivoted from SaaS to paid communities? who the hell has time to check more than 1 community every day?
whoever invented "the customer is always right" has never dealt with actual customers
HOT TAKE: we should all go back to the office so we can chat and crack jokes while waiting for the LLM to finish the task
Stripe just proved that taste is one of the most important skills for the future when everyone can ship fast, the ones who ship with taste will win
bro just get out of your head and go do something go experiment, try new shit, fail fast if you're afraid of failure, you've already lost
if you're building from Asia, how do you handle the timezone gap? are your customers or people you work with mostly in Asia too? because i don't see how working with US clients is doable
consume less, live more stop scrolling through other people's lives and start focusing on your own thoughts you'll feel more grateful for what you have you'll stop comparing yourself to everyone it's the easiest way to actually feel better
i thought portuguese taxes were crazy until i saw Spain's their rates are insane. and the "autonomo" regime is even worse Portugal has NHR for foreign income and IRS Jovem for young people Spain has nothing close. not even comparable
i hate summer all it does is make me want to buy a motorcycle, skip work and go the beach
Portugal isn't cheap anymore groceries cost almost the same as other european countries rent is more expensive than a lot of other big cities the only thing we have going for us? good weather and great food that's it
just bought myself an early birthday present a super ultra productive keyboard to ship my next $0 MRR project faster
i keep switching between "i need to post more" and "i need to delete social media" can't decide which one is damaging my life more
i'm too focused on what i don't have instead of being grateful for what i already have my simple boring life might be someone else's dream
middle class is the biggest lie we’ve ever been told as a society i fucking hate being poor premium
everything is difficult. you just pick your hard entrepreneurship is hard but so is a 9-5 you hate, a shitty boss, and being underpaid might as well choose the struggle that actually builds something
apparently posting 1 good post a day is way better than 3-4 mid ones
programming is no longer fun and that makes me sad i still remember my first "SaaS" built on X learned so much, handtyped every line of nextjs the app was shit but i was proud because i built it myself thanks AI for killing that feeling
the problem with building while having a 9-5: you have to sacrifice too much: shipping, fitness, or relationships pick two it's doable for a short period but definitely not healthy long term
just pick one thing and stick to it, bro stop chasing shiny objects stop switching projects just pick one, struggle through it, and don't quit i'm saying this to myself but you need to hear it too
remote working removes friction but in that friction is where life happens
excited to re-enter my builder era no side projects, no tinkering just things that make money
