I know we get to see the players mea culpa for not being in a more competitive playoff position—but I’d love someone to state it plainly—they clearly were not, as assembled, a winning team. How do we go a half season with no defensive replacements on the roster, no pinch runners and no setup man.

“If the orioles make the plays they should defensively their not four games below .500 they are six games above .500 they aren’t trading away players” —orioles on the radio Don’t tell Albernaz, he’s not worried.

Hi what’s your name? LF Hi what’s your—oh we met. 3B Hi what’s your—oh it’s been a while SP Hi what’s your, have we met? No? Oh I thought so. C If I didn’t call your name please keep your name tag on to help out the coaches. #birdland

Did you hear—there are two ways to win the World Series? First is the lame way every team tries where you win the last game of the baseball season. The other way is how Mike Elias does it where you have the best farm system in baseball.

When the orioles were winning in 2012-2016 I couldn’t tell you what their farm was rated and I didn’t care, I was too busy enjoying the product on the field. Prospects are cool. Playoff wins are better.

In other news, We traded some guy name Cash for these guys: Rece Rice RF from the Marlins Codi Heuer RHP, Brewers Player To Be Named Later, Redsox

Here is the thing: I don’t care who you get back for trading my favorite players—I don’t want my favorite players to be traded. I’m never like, you know what could we have gotten if we traded peak Adam Jones. I’m never like, you know what sucks, we didn’t get anything for letting Mussina walk.
