As a kid, I took House Sparrows, or Spuggies as we knew them, for granted. Then they pretty much disappeared locally but recently, there's been a few more around and their nostalgic, happy go lucky chirping, has returned. ..........and boy, do I appreciate them now! #NEbirding #birds

Normally, Holly Blues never stop in our garden. Today was not one of those days as a male briefly landed. Moreover, I managed to photograph it. I'd say that was a canny result, a result where the pale blues came off worse. An omen perhaps? 🤞
