$7 billion more in no-bid contracts personally approved by Trump, with no approval from Congress. By the time lawmakers found out, the deal was announced and the companies were already celebrating. One of them is run by a CEO who gave $1.7 million to Republicans. How did this happen?

The Trump Organization had roughly 385 accounts closed by Capital One after the bank’s anti-money-laundering team spent months reviewing them. Imagine the reaction if this involved any other prominent political family.

John Cornyn and Thom Tillis just caved. They had real leverage. On Judiciary, either one could have stopped Todd Blanche’s nomination cold.  What did they get? A legally dubious memo rescinding the $1.8B slush fund and an unsigned statement on Trump’s tax protections.

No amount of spin can change the plain truth. If confirmed, Todd Blanche would be Trump’s defense attorney disguised as Attorney General. He cannot be the people’s lawyer while the sitting president is his client. He must not be confirmed.

Head Start has helped over 30 million kids since 1965. It was built to give poor children a fair shot before kindergarten. Now the Trump administration wants to gut the standards that make it work, while calling it “cutting red tape.”

Trump Administration Plans to Upend Head Start by Deregulating It (Gift Article)

The White House tried but failed to block funding for preschool for poor children. Instead, it will seek to strip away standards on health, literacy — and brushing teeth.

This is your daily reminder that Trump and Republicans are spending billions of your tax dollars on an unauthorized war in Iran and Stephen Miller’s ICE agenda while gutting Medicaid, slashing SNAP, and driving up your health care costs.

The president said data centers cause “very little actual disruption” for local communities. The families living next to them would disagree. These facilities pull enormous amounts of water and electricity. They raise real health and environmental concerns. None of that is minor to the people.

More and more Americans are buying groceries on credit cards and paying them off over years. A family charges food to a card, eats it in a week, and is still paying interest on that meal a decade later. The numbers are brutal.

The Trump administration just announced it is ending a program that has been holding down Medicare drug premiums, and the timing could not be worse. That program kept premiums lower for around 25 million seniors on Part D drug plans.

For months the White House has sold its immigration crackdown as a crime and safety measure. Their own data says otherwise. In June 2026, ICE booked 43,138 people into detention, a record for this administration. The fastest-growing group was immigrants with no criminal record at all.

This is a man who still lies that he won in 2020, who sent a mob to the Capitol to overturn an election he lost, and who now floats staying in power past the two terms the Constitution allows. There is no third term. There is the Constitution, and there is the door.

Insults, potshots and quip about a third term: Trump’s rambling gala address

Politics, and nothing else. The Energy Department’s own lawyers conceded not one of those grants was cut for any programmatic, statutory, or performance reason. Wright said the same thing under oath to the Senate and the Science Committee.

The Trump administration has now admitted in its own court filings that it terminated nearly 300 energy grants “based solely” on the political identity of the recipient’s state, whether it voted for Kamala Harris and had two Democratic senators.

On April 17, I sat across from Energy Secretary Chris Wright in an Appropriations hearing and asked a simple question about why his grant terminations landed almost entirely in blue states.

In an Appropriations Committee hearing earlier this year, I questioned Energy Secretary Chris Wright about the billions his department canceled in clean energy grants. He looked me in the eye and told me the decisions were made on the merits and had nothing to do with politics. That was a lie.

This is really bad. The New York Times reports that FBI managers were told the bureau will stop investigating violent confrontations involving immigration agents, handing those cases instead to an arm of ICE. In other words, letting the agency investigate itself.

I’m closely following the deeply troubling pattern of childhood cancer in Ladera Ranch, and I’m standing with these families in my district as they demand answers.

Trump hung Teddy Roosevelt in the Oval Office like he’s the heir apparent. What a joke. Roosevelt busted monopolies, banned corporate cash, and jailed the spoils system. Trump runs the family business from the Resolute Desk. One man fought the powerful. The other invoices them.

Today would be a good day for Trump to fire Pete Hegseth and replace him with someone competent. Every American, and every soldier we have deployed abroad, would be safer for it.

This is really dumb. Canada is our closest ally and the top buyer of American exports on Earth. These tariffs hit about $20 billion in goods and apply even to products protected under the USMCA trade deal Trump himself signed and bragged about.

As Los Angeles burned, people were on Polymarket betting on how many acres it would take. One wrote, “That was fun. Until the next time.” This is sick. I’m going to do all I can to ban it.

This story is not getting the attention it deserves. Confidentiality agreements forced on military families in privatized base housing have jumped more than 300% in six years. In 2020 just 15 families signed one. Last year the number hit 67.
