Disabled. Veteran. Those periods are important. Husband, father, friend. I live vicariously through my comics.

After reading Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring, written and illustrated by Patrick Horvath, I'm feeling pretty good. Patrick has a real treasure on his hands, and I hope he's got plenty more. This sequel did not lose any of the magic of the original. 5/5 #comicsky #idwcomics

Yesterday, with no knowledge of who or what the New Gods are, I read Orion by Ngozi Ukazu. It was good enough at filling me in, and it was great as far as a study of nature vs. nurture, one gods quest to find himself. I enjoyed this and found myself wanting more. 4/5 #comicsky #dccomics

The cover of Orion has the New God in the motion of putting on his helmet by Ngozi Ukazu.

I have finished The Justice League of America, the Bronze Age omnibus vol 1, and I enjoyed it. It was quite enlightening to see the characters and stories transition from the silly camp to the more 'serious' content of the 70s. It's made with newsprint, so it's big, but light. #comicsky #dccomics

The Justice League of America with Superman standing front and center.

Ewing, Lindsay, Kotian, and Pressy, among some others, are responsible for Absolute Green Lantern vol 2 Sojourner. It's good enough. I don't feel like I wasted my time, but I didn't get it. I couldn't understand about half of what I was reading. This is where I will drop it. 2/5

Marsupilami The Beast by Zidrou and Frank Pé part 2/2 is wonderful. The art is stunning, and the story is sweet, sad, and exciting. The only reason I won't give it 5 ✨️ is because the letterer misspelled a handful of words, even omitted a few, and that kept pulling me out of the story 4/5 #comicsky
