My first comic was a Peter David-penned Spectacular (black costume) Spiderman #122. It introduced me to a character in the Mauler who I’d never heard of, and by the end of the issue I not only knew him, but felt for him. A perfect example of a single issue story.

this comic is from 2014 and is one of the most singularly vindicated comics. even if it was already correct then it is even more correct now
