Since we’re in another idiotic COVID spin cycle, some data: only about a quarter of people at the time thought schools were being too aggressive in trying to stop the plague. The people screaming about it in the media were very much not representative.

Helpful to keep in mind where the public was actually at on COVID as it was wrapping up. Almost 2:1 majorities were either mostly happy with how their schools handled it, or thought they were too lax. 67-27. (Data for Progress for @waytowinus.bsky.social, battleground LVs from June-ish 2022)
