Both Polanski (bra busting banter) and Badenoch (confessed hacking) have things in their backgrounds they’d rather everyone should just forgive them for and forget so it’s not surprising they think that having been a Nazi should be no bar to public office.
Looks like Badenochs pet Nazi only stopped the antisemitism because he could be nasty without it.

Was impressed by Burnham today. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but he communicated a number of points clearly and without too much obfuscation.
Andy Burnham clearly understands the care system and its needs and some of the things that need to be changed. This probably puts more pressure on him than less.
How are we getting on with that whole “cloning Louise Casey” thing?

Apropos nothing at all, virtually every school I’ve ever been in has a board up somewhere that celebrates which student got into which university. I can’t recall ever being shown a board that celebrated which students were employed by the local Greggs.
