What I’m reading this week.

Our garden is definitely organic.

Today’s garden harvest was a good one.

Okra blossoms are gorgeous.

These volunteer tomatoes that came up in our oregano pot seem to be doing well. Maybe they’re camparis?

The yard birds did a great job planting sunflowers this year.

It’s been a true pleasure to work on the Forgotten Realms with WotC over the years.

Kittens alway get a little treat on fish night after dinner is finish, otherwise… someone gets hurt.

I made dinner for Jillian and myself tonight. Salmon with quinoa and fresh vegetables. The peppers, okra, tomatoes, eggplant, chives, parsley, coriander, and thyme are all from our garden.

These bad boys will be ready for the table soon.

Some turkeys came to visit the Cathedral of St Paul this morning.

Here at St Mary’s Basilica in Minneapolis, there’s a restoration effort going on. It’s nothing I can’t work around but I’m wondering what the new landscaping might look like in a year or two. #drawing @cathedralproject.bsky.social

Caught a double rainbow tonight during dinner. 🌈

The garden is started! We added okra, cucumber, zucchini, garlic, shishito peppers, eggplant, strawberries and a few different varieties of basil to the mix this year.

Our cats really know how to relax.

St. Margaret Mary in Omaha may be an outlier since it’s “just” a parish church, but it’s the church I celebrate Mass in every week. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked through those front doors. The interior is gorgeous as well. It’s worth a visit if you’re in town.

A bit more progress on the drawing of St. Margaret Mary’s. Should be wrapped up this weekend.

Making dirt! The bin in the back is just about ready to go. The one in the middle needs to work so I’m just stirring it occasionally. Fresh scraps & roughage will go in the empty one up front. I’ll start mixing the ready compost into last year’s potting soil and get to planting soon.

I’m building up the initial graphite layers (2H & HB) for my drawing of St Margaret Mary’s this afternoon. It’s a slow process but it really lets the surface texture of the paper come through.
