Dad, outdoor geek, leader of the Ontario Green Party, and political disruptor in Ontario.

25 years ago today, when American skies closed, Canada opened its doors. Ontario airports in Toronto and Hamilton took in diverted flights as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon, part of a national effort that saw 200+ planes and tens of thousands of stranded passengers welcomed with open arms.

Happy Labour Day to every worker who keeps Ontario running with love and duct tape. Spent the day with folks at the Labour Day picnic in Guelph, to show support for the people who build and care for this province.

Thank you so much to all our volunteers who knocked on doors, made calls, put up signs and fed fellow volunteers. Thank you to our incredible candidates: Pascale Marchand, Matt Pearce & Mark Bekkering.

What do you have to hide Doug? Ford is slowly eroding the media’s access to the government, because they know their policies are unpopular. Press freedom is a critical part of our democracy and the Ontario Greens will always be transparent and available to our media, since we have nothing to hide.

NEW: Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who just held a news conference style event in Mississauga, without any members of the media says: “Thank God, we don’t have the media. No questions, no answers. We are good to go.” #onpoli

Hamilton East-Stoney Creek, York Simcoe & Scarborough Southwest! By-elections are happening TODAY! Vote Green and get an MPP who will put people before profits. Vote Green and get someone who will fight for the climate, for affordable housing and against AI Data Centres.

The greatest tragedy of this trade war is that it will disproportionately affect those already struggling. It is easy to feel discouraged, but working together as Team Ontario, we can take concrete action to support those who need it most.

This data centre fight is bigger than just Hamilton. It's a fight for the future of our communities, our water, and our land. It's time to take our power back from the tech billionaires and their friends in Ford's government.

As a party leader, it’s my responsibility to create a culture where this is unacceptable behaviour. Now Ford calls it “politics as usual”. I agree with him, this is Ford’s usual politics. Toxic, self-interested and no accountability. But it doesn’t have to be. Ontario deserves a better politics.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says he doesn’t approve of his Progressive Conservative Party sending an operative to spy on former Liberal leader Bonnie Crombie while she was on vacation in Jamaica. #OnPoli globalnews.ca/news/1202055...

Throwback to last Thursday when I called for a moratorium on data centres for AI until guardrails are in place to protect people and communities. We can’t let tech billionaires come in and take over our communities. It’s time to take our power back.

One of my favourite weekends in Guelph has arrived! Find me volunteering in the Calm Zone this weekend at the Hillside Festival. Stay safe, stay hydrated, use sunscreen, a hat, a mask if needed, and have a great weekend!

Mike and his wife Sandy smiling at the camera from behind a table with bottles of sunscreen, water, and hand sanitizer on it. Above them a sign reading Calm Zone Hours of Operation 8:30am - 11:30 pm.

My heart goes out to everyone evacuating Northwest Ontario due to the wildfires. We need a preparedness plan that funds and supports wildland firefighters before there's an emergency, not after the fire's already putting lives at risk.

Rav has farmed this land for years and her message is clear: Highway 413 will destroy some of the best soil in the world and it's soil that can never be replaced. We're at McVean Farm in Brampton, standing on the kind of land we simply cannot afford to lose.
