New paper by Marijn Nieuwenhuis and Mikko Joronen looks at #fire as an elemental tool and condition of #colonial dispossession in #Palestine, but also the settler arson paranoia, state/settler/pyroterror and the vilification of native bodies, plants and animals. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

In BBC coverage, mentions of Israeli and Palestinians deaths competed for space since 7th October. That's despite far more Palestinian deaths. There's one exception - a huge spike in the mentions of Palestinian deaths in early April. The reason for this should disturb you.
