Ominous red skies last night as cyclone Vaianu’s heading to NZ. Unusual for whole North Island to be on emergency alert. Expect giant waves & coastal flooding. Too quiet atm. Hot food, shower, cold wine, laptop&phone powered. Water in buckets. (Garbage bins on the road WTF people?!) Stay safe!
