Malware analysis tricks and 20 yrs of Original Xbox reverse engineering = LIVE dashboard skin switching! Built directly in the Theseus decomp, expanding the retail xboxdash.xbe. It dynamically loads colors from an .ini. Zero static patches, defaults perfectly to stock. :)

Butter and Jelly has been updated with all 3 build targets and releases. WiiU, Xbox 360 (Xenon) and Original Xbox (Midway). Should we keep going? I have a PS4, PS3, Gamecube, and 3DS on hand. Might have a PSP around here somewhere, lol github.com/MrMilenko/Bu...

"Theres no way you can get movies streaming from Jellyfin on an original Xbox" The last time someone said something like that to people, XBMC (Now Kodi) was built, which was forked into Plex and they're charging you $6/month to stream your own shit in your own house. Come at me bro, we ain't done

I found a Wii U Jellyfin client I was working on (current state is purely browsing) This is from like, Christmas time? I reused some of this code in Theseus lol

First full homebrew using OXDK360. SNES360 compiled and linked on macOS 26.6, no windows tooling. Fully linked against the Xbox 360 SDK.

So a couple days ago I learned there was a Diddy Kong Racing decomp. So... I decided to try to port it to Xbox. First texture.

Fallout 2 Original Xbox port, Two control modes now working with the controller (walking/running too). One: joystick as emulated mouse, cursor + A/B buttons + hot keys. Two: hybrid mode, closer to other RPGs, replacing mouse clicks where we can. Just a test, camera re-center still janky.

An original Xbox is solid for many games, if you don't care about dated graphics. An Xbox 360 still holds well. An Xbox One/PS4 is solid for online play if that's something you need. Xbox One can be found for as low as $20 in some markets, and have cloud streaming if you pay for the service.

assuming no "i need to play [new game] with my friends"... the used market!!! consoles - Xbox One / PS4 if paying for a subscription fee is acceptable - Xbox 360 if not PC - older computers with dedicated GPUs or slightly newer computers with nice APUs covers about everything you'd want

OXDK's been updated, new make files to assist in building libsdlx and RXDK-SDL2x on non-Windows machines and the libraries have been vendored in the git for easy maintenance. An "OXDK 2026 Summer Demo" was made as well using RXDK-SDL2 and XDK, all on a mac. OXDK Repo: github.com/MrMilenko/OXDK

So uh.. hey guys.. the thing I did with RexGlue is starting to work, and I'm scared. I'm not a 360 guy, did I break it??

The ability to compile original XDK projects without touching Windows is here. OXDK is a cross-compilation shim that lets you build XDK projects on macOS and Linux using clang and lld-link. No VM, no MSVC, no suffering. github.com/MrMilenko/OXDK Happy Easter!

Hey @seamus.bsky.social 'member dis? Was bored last night and RE'd the rendering pipeline for Xbox Dashboard build 3424, from April 2001. This version used triangle strips instead of triangle lists, and had falloff shaders defined in the XAP scripts rather than the C++ engine.

Long live BlackStormX, the mod for tHc Lite/4920 Xbox Dashboard that rebuilt this aesthetic on modded Xbox's.
