Cut out either the Mario World or Galaxy elements so that what remains can have more time put into it. Like IDRC if these movies wanna just be bing-bing-wahoo action reference-fests anymore, but at least *commit* to a theme. These two sources shouldn't be competing for attention in the same movie.
