I won't lie, I am feeling despair on an entirely new level today for our industry and my place in it. I love games so much and all of the wonderful, talented peers I have in this industry. And we're all just being so constantly crushed by genAI and greedy CEOs. It makes me feel like giving up.

Incredibly disappointed to read the news from Larian. There is no ethical way to use genAI. Even if you're using it as a foundation, your content is then based on stolen assets. And even if the dataset ISN'T stolen content, you cannot ignore the environmental & health impacts.
