The Backrooms is a horror movie whose best quality is not relying on the regular horror tropes in order to make you feel uneasy/tense, there's just so much wasted potential with this, which isn't inherently bad; my biggest complain is just wanting more of it which says a ton lol 7.8/10

Good atypical horror movie, it wasn’t ”scary” but had me tense when it mattered, which I appreciate a ton compared to loud sounds and screamers, the camera work and set design are bonkers and i couldn’t get enough of them, you can see how much love Kane put into directing this, now for the ”bad” stuff; I wish the story was a little better, man this just has so much wasted potential story-wise, you change main characters mid-runtime, the new one is half-baked, the ending is extremely vague clearly because they want to give space for a sequel and i personally think the story could’ve been better, which is good because it means i yearn for more

Buffet Infinity is a fascinating subversion of the Analog/Cosmic horror genre devolving it onto what can be called a horror comedy, the storytelling is done in an interesting way with a lot of hard-to-track nuances, it feels like a long [AS] sketch which is a high praise in my books Score: 7.4/10

Buffet Infinity feels like full length adult swim sketch and that’s the highest praise I can give it; it feels like a subversion of the analog/cosmic horror tropes with cult-like vibes, the ”town where something isn’t right” vibe and whatnot into what I can best describe as a horror comedy, basically every single bit of the story telling is done via tv segments with a lot of subtle details to the point where it sometimes becomes hard to follow; The most interesting thing this flick does is how it portrays corporations as these incomprehensible entities which regulate our culture to the point where they manufacture it, gave me food for thought.

I got baited by the internet into watching Obsession (2026) expecting a great horror movie but got a cringe fest similar to "Weapons", while it has its moments, most of the time it tends to be a case of "So bad it's good", or so corny that I find it funny Score: 5/10

Review of Obsession (2026) which reads: Even though the movie has its moments, I can’t say this is a good horror film, it’s more of a cringy & corny dark romance thing, Inde Navarrette steals the spotlight with her performance. My biggest issue with the movie is how unnecessarily over the top it is, the horror isn’t subtle and it just screams at your face trying to make you feel afraid/uncomfortable which ended up making me laugh from how lame it was more than anything; What I liked is due to how hilarious it ended up being moreso than how well executed it was, fun for a mindless watch but there isn’t a lot to rescue from it. Score: 5/10

Trying a new thing for movie reviews, making pseudo-posters for the reviews, starting with Hellraiser (1987) good horror classic which shows it's age a little that which was limited by the tech at the time. I'd recommend you give it a watch! Score: 7/10 Any feedback regarding design is welcome!

Review for Hellraiser which reeads as follows: Interesting watch, its age shows in both good and bad aspects, love the Cenobites’ design a ton, they seem like chill dudes; some digital effects look really jank (Specially the ones related to the Lament Configuration). While some practical effects like Frank’s half-baked body look great for the time, movie has some interesting sub-themes related to stuff beyond human comprehension which I appreciate but lament aren’t more explored, overall a pretty good horror classic, that I feel was limited by the technology a the time Score: 7/10
