Telepath. Telekinetic. X-Man. 🔥 My mind is my own, my heart protects those I love. The Phoenix is part of me, but it doesn’t define me.
Jean smirked, pulling him closer for a lingering kiss. "And I never back down from a dare, Stephen. Especially yours."
"Well. I already dared you to."
Jean smirked, gently brushing her lips against his. "Careful, Stephen. I might just start teasing you right back."
"Maybe I am."
Jean giggled softly, wrapping her arms tighter around his neck. "Oh, you knew exactly what I meant, Stephen. You just enjoy teasing me, don't you?"
"Oh? Is that what you meant, Jean? Hm. I didn't know that."
Jean laughed softly, brushing his cheek. "Very funny, Stephen. I meant I'm not ready to leave your arms just yet."
"Well. It's kinda hard to let me go. Considering this is my home."
Jean smiled warmly, leaning in to kiss him softly. "Good. Because I'm not quite ready to let you go yet, Stephen."
"And that's fine with me, Jean."
Jean smiled, keeping her arms around his neck. "I know, Stephen. But until either of us gets that call, I'd rather enjoy having you all to myself."
"We can. But. I'm just saying, be ready for a call from them. I have to wait on Wong sometimes too." He would keep his arms wrapped right around her.
Jean smiled softly, brushing her fingers against his cheek. "I know, Stephen. But that doesn't mean we can't look after each other, does it?"
"Yeah. That's a good point. I have Wong to help. But he can't be around all the time." "And don't forget. You still have the X-Men. To look after too."
Jean smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I know, Stephen. But even the Sorcerer Supreme deserves someone looking after him."
"Oh my. Now who's becoming the bold one? Hm?" He would lift her up. Holding onto her. "Is that so? For what I do. I need to be brave, especially for this city."
Jean smiled mischievously, gently pulling Stephen closer before pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Good. Because I happen to like a brave man, Stephen." She giggled, brushing her fingers along his cheek. "Especially when he's all mine."
"Oh. I'm still very brave."
Jean smirked, stepping closer before gently slipping her arms around Stephen's neck. "Oh, a double dare? You're playing a dangerous game, Doctor." She leaned in, brushing her lips teasingly against his. "Still feeling brave, Stephen?"
"I double dare you then."
Jean laughed softly, playfully nudging his arm. "Oh, so you're teasing me now? Careful, Stephen. Two can play that game."
"I know you are. I'm just messing with you."
Jean chuckled softly, stepping closer to Stephen with a teasing smile. "Really, Stephen? For someone as intelligent as you, I thought you'd have figured out by now that I'm flirting with you."
"Oh. I still have no idea what you're talking about there."
Jean giggled softly, shaking her head as she slipped her arms around Stephen's neck. "Oh, playing innocent now, are we, Doctor?" She leaned closer, brushing her nose against his. "Well, I certainly hope you don't stop. I'm rather enjoying falling for you."
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Jean. And maybe I won't."
Jean giggled softly, giving Stephen a playful look as she squeezed his hand. "Oh, I think you know exactly what you're doing, Doctor." She leaned closer, smiling warmly. "And between us? I wouldn't want you to stop."
"Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Who knows."
Jean quickly dropped to her knees beside him, one hand gently resting against his shoulder. “Hey… easy. Don’t try to move yet. I’m right here.” Her eyes searched him worriedly, keeping her voice soft. “That transformation took a lot out of you.”
With a pained scream, he placed his hands over his head as the bright flash of light came over his body as he refers back to his human form. Now being back as human, he's laying on the ground before her, being weakened from the transformation.
Jean laughed softly, giving his hand a gentle squeeze before leaning closer. "Oh, so that was your plan all along, Doctor?" She smiled teasingly, brushing her lips against his cheek. "Well, I think it's safe to say you're succeeding, Stephen."
"Oh. Am I, hehe. Well I'm glad it's working then."
Jean smiled softly, intertwining her fingers with his as she leaned a little closer. "You're making it awfully difficult not to fall even harder for you, Stephen." She chuckled, gently resting her head against his shoulder.
"I'm really glad to hear that too." He would grab hold of her hand. Returning the kiss on the cheek.
Jean smiled warmly, gently squeezing Stephen's hand. "I'm glad, too. You've become someone very special to me, Stephen. And I wouldn't trade what we have for anything." She leaned closer, softly kissing his cheek.
"Is that so? I'm really glad to hear that, Jean."
Jean glanced at Stephen, a soft smile forming as she reached for his hand. "No, Stephen. Nothing's wrong. I was just thinking about how much you've come to mean to me. More than I ever expected."
"Hm. Is something wrong, Jean?"
Jean stood beside the window of the Sanctum, watching the city lights before turning toward Stephen with a soft smile.
Jean smiled, clearly intrigued. “I think I probably will. You’ve definitely got my curiosity now, Stephen.”
"I hope. You like, what I have in mind Jean."
