I love the vibe of this NF #PBParty entry! It reminds me a bit of a fiction entry we loved several years ago that dazzled judges, agents & editors. The writer quickly signed with an agent and that book is out in the world now. 🎉 Fairy dust this will have the same results!

I'm the 3rd yes for #PBParty illustrations. Wahoooooo! I think it will do better if they share a different spread from the dummy. This is why sharing the dummy is so helpful! It probably would've been a M vs. Y without it - which might've meant honorable mention.

I love a #PBParty author/illustrator entry with tons of yeses that I'm sure will make it into the main finals. Wahooooo! Love the illustrations and the book is so creative and fun. I'd love to share a PB like this w/ my granddaughter!

How do you handle writer's block or your bossy internal editor, #PBParty? * I know that the best time for me to tackle scary revisions is late at night, when my internal editor (Ms. Perfectionist) is too tired to butt in. Fine-tuning is much better during the day, though.

Amazing illustrations in this #PBParty entry! I'm sure this will be in the Illustration Showcase. I'm the 5th yes (all votes are Y so far). Wahoooooooo! I really relate to this one right now.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this, @hunderdown.bsky.social. 😢 There's less agent and editor interest in NF lately, so it makes sense that the school and library market is hurting. I wish there was something we could do to boost the school and library market!

Awful but not entirely surprising news after the layoffs at smaller pubs last year. The school and library market is hurting--which we don't see in Bookscan numbers.
