Sitting in my stoop thinking about my friend Barry (Mum's Dad) who had surgery last week and is moving to recovery care today. Sending Barry all the love and healing purrs for a speedy recovery!! He's going to be 90 at the end of September so he needs to get well for his birthday!
The Bug is furious with me about the rain and has been complaining about having had to spend some of the day indoors.
Sitting in the front with a cup of tea, getting some sun, and I'm joined by The Bug. His preferred spot is next door's front garden, but he heard me come out, whereupon he mirruped in my direction and then flopped down beside me. No fuss required, just a bit of company for ten minutes.

Mum just found a picture of Gwenie the Wonder Cat, a tortie-calico manx who liked to knock pictures off the wall, well, everything that wasn't nailed down pretty much ended up on the floor actually. She did not like having her picture taken and the humans could not sneak up on on her ever.
We don't even want to see the wildfire smoke that's keeping all our windows closed!

Mum’s brother found this painting rolled in a tube since the 80s. It was painted by their mother and it’s now on its way to an art conservator to stabilize the brittle paper for framing.
