Before the United States Postal Service got special mail delivery vehicles, some offices used Ford Pinto Runabouts - like the Minto Pinto - because it had an abnormal amount of cabin space with the back seats folded down, a big engine, and decent gas mileage!

I forgot that I placed this grem on the top of the car and it survived the entire trip back from CarrierCon day 1
I forgot to put plug of the spark plug wires back in before doing this pre-VeXpo errand, so the Pinto was briefly a 3 cylinder engine
Got a new battery hold-down made of plastic from 1976. Humanity has certainly gotten better at manufacturing low cost injection molded plastic since then 😅
The car is unfortunately now leaking coolant/antifreeze from the most annoying location ever: behind the engine! Time to buy an inspection camera to find out whether it's a fitting or a hose.
Back when it was made, the Minto Pinto was the most powerful and heaviest subcompact car in its class youtu.be/CWIDgRjaa2Y
1976 Ford Pinto Pony Commercial - Hugh Downs Voice Over Passing vs. Chevette, B210 & Corolla
The Pinto was getting up there in age, it was 6 years old. But it was still a decent contender vs the Datsun B210 or Chevy Chevette or Toyota Corolla. Better passing acceleration while still…

the Minto Pinto parked at a museum where both it and oimo's art arguably belong (this is also an overhead garage lighting color correction test)
Got any ideas for Mint fandom jokes to make into magnets? The rear quarter panel is meant to have the vibe of a station wagon with too many bumper stickers, but with magnets so I can wash the car properly and rearrange them lol
the Minto Pinto is 69 inches wide and sometimes sits in a parking spot numbered 6
After I took the pinned post pics, someone getting off work drove up and asked if he could take Minto Pinto pictures too! He said that his wife used to drive a Pinto Runabout - he was looking forward to her reaction to the pics.
Here's a closeup of the Pinto magnets drawn by @/lauragemstones! On the passenger side of the car there are 2 fandom jokes, and on the driver side is an actual planned Antarctica cruise + a @/RockAuto_Parts logo parody. #Fantography
The Minto Pinto is one of the first classic car itasha in North America! The wrap is all thanks to the following folks: Art - @oimobuster.bsky.social Design - @weeb.casa (me!) Wrapping - DreamscapeccLLC @ 🐦 Side magnets - lauragemstones @ 🐦 #Fantography
Hey if you ever hear rattling in your front bumper, make sure to check that there isn't a vintage Craftsman 1/2 inch socket rolling around inside
The Minto Pinto has been plated as historic motor vehicle! celebratory #FantomeThief #Fantography animation by @roamingtuna.bsky.social - backstory and plate pic in replies
All holes in the body (except for the chrome bumper) have now been filled and repainted!
a Raspberry Pi inside the car shall periodically utter wisdom from Mint (as long as a host/venue allows it)
Ripped out the previous restomod's questionably installed single DIN head unit and replaced it with a touchscreen for $70. The Pinto now has USB-C and wireless Android Auto lol
