Still more DAZ Studio 6 testing, this time with SweetLara (www.deviantart.com/sweetlara-rj). DS6 definitely needs some work - fix the scripting, folks! - but the core functionality is good and there are a number of things to like about it.

Kicking the tires on the new DAZ Studio 6 release... and who could be better for that purpose than friend and muse @mandibimbo.bsky.social, am I right? 🌡️🔥 DS6 is too buggy for a general release, but the render engine itself is a *huge* upgrade from the beta - it's screaming fast!

Google Chrome is downloading a 4 GB Gemini Nano model onto users' machines without consent, with no opt-in, no opt-out short of enterprise tooling, and an automatic re-download every time the user deletes it. The pattern is identical to the Anthropic Claude Desktop case I wrote about last month, but the scale is between two and three orders of magnitude larger. This article does the legal analysis and, for the first time, the environmental analysis. The numbers are not small.

Working around some health issues that don't want to let go, so production is limited of late. Free-dialed a G9 character just to keep the teeth sharp and keep the blues away. (Yes it's labeled as adult. Assume some sort of graphic and possibly mad-science-oriented conversation at the coffee shop 🤪)

I’ve kind of become associated with scenes/renders involving cryogenics - there’s a legitimate reason I ended up with the user name minus269 😁 The frost on the subject’s skin is a “physical effect”, produced via two geoshells conformed to the character wireframe, rather than in post work.
