I have a folder with screenshots of an awful combo I had. It took me years to be able to open that folder (yeah, that combo f* my mental health) and still I can't read all of them. But the one I looked at... pfff. So many lies.

Since these events are going to be more and more common, people (government) up there should start preparing. We have AC almost everywhere (not in the streets, ofc) and we also have climate refuges (from libraries to parks, mostly public spaces with AC) for people that can't afford it.

Stars of physics are in Westminster right now to call on the Government to halt funding cuts to astronomy and particle physics research. Professor Brian Cox called them "inexplicable", urging the Government to instead "trust, inspire and continue to invest in the next generation of scientists".
I don't think this is a controversial opinion, but who knows. If you have had a hard time doing your science that's not an excuse for behaving horribly to others.
