More than once, and losing to him wasn't the /entire/ catalyst. ( His tone and expression remain annoyingly neutral. It's as if he isn't bothered at all by Jet Man's words. His joints remain tense, though... ) If you choose to believe that, so be it. I do not need to justify myself to you.

( After seeing him relax, Enker just nods. The irritation seems to fade. ) That's quite alright, it is a natural reaction to seeing someone unfamiliar.

There are things far more important to me now. That, and I have realized the futility of my original purpose. ( Being intentionally vague; revealing everything would just be foolish. ) In other words, I am living a /fuller/ life than what was planned for me.

If you follow him, I do not think any reasons would be adequate enough for you, but rest assured, I do have them. ( His posture shifts a little, tensing up cautiously; almost in anticipation. ) I can’t say I’ve seen you before. Are you a part of his newest line?
