Absolutely bombed through "The Devil's Cauldron", a sure sign of a great book. So now I have three book reviews to write! Thanks everyone for their patience, hoping some sort of normal service will resume this weekend. For now I will say this is a captivating read from @mislaidbooks.bsky.social.

I'm proud to announce that through Mislaid Books, we'll be publishing Edith Nesbit's lost novel THE MARDEN MYSTERY. It only exists in newspaper format, so may be abridged - however, unless a copy of the novel turns up, we'll never know. This will be reprinted alongside other lost short stories.

Mislaid's aim for late 2026 - a crime/horror novel called THE GINGER CAT (1929) by Christopher Reeve (Dorothy Webb) and a Jack the Ripper-esque work called MAN MADE ANGRY (1932) by Hugh Brooke (co-writer of the film DONOVAN'S BRAIN). Also incoming is the first MISLAID MISCELLANY.
