Congratulations to the pupils whose stories have been selected for publication in the Ridiculous Writers competition! Each child has taken home a copy to share. To allow the stories to be published, we need your permission - details are on the letter in your child’s bag today.
Today we had a fantastic rugby taster session with Grangemouth Stags! 🏉 The class loved getting involved and showing off their energy. Pupils also received flyers for the summer rugby sessions, held at Grangemouth Rugby Club every Tuesday from 6–7pm - completely free of charge!
⚽BEANIE CUP AND FUN DAY⚽ Have fun while helping to raise money on Sunday 7th June, from 11am at Beancross Primary School for our 3rd Annual Beanie Cup and Fun Day. There will be lots going on for all the family and entry to the fayre is completely free. Please come along and support our school.
Kicked off our very first Friendship Friday today! Each week we’ll randomly select someone and share, during circle time, all the things that make them a special friend. Today we celebrated C and the class shared some lovely things about him 💛

Today we carried out a an eye colour survey in P5P. We then turned our results into a bar chart! 📊✏️

Loved kicking off our new class talks today! Pupils have started sharing the celebrity who inspires them - from singers to YouTubers to footballers. Such a brilliant mix of passions and role models! 🌟
Today in maths we worked with a partner to solve equations using the four operations! 👍😆

Last week, we created our own superheroes for a Taught Writing lesson. This week, in art we brought our heroes to life by creating a night scene inspired by the work of Van Gogh 🎨🖌️
We have been learning about essential vs non-essential purchases in our maths money topic 🤑💵 Today we managed a weekly budget by prioritising our essential purchases before our treats!
So incredibly proud of our fantastic cross country team today representing Beancross at Callander Park! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ You all showed amazing determination, teamwork and were brilliant ambassadors for the school!
World Book Day📚 As per our annual overview, pupils are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Thursday 5 March. Please note that Football strips are not permitted.
We have been learning about the Buddhist celebration Vesak. Today we created posters with lots of interesting facts that we researched about the celebration!
This week our class has been mastering the 9 times table ✏️ Can you guess which song we use to help us remember it? We’ve had so much fun with whole‑class games like Around the World, Buzz, and of course… a Blooket!
We completed our first Languages Week task yesterday by creating our own ‘Language Portraits’🇫🇷🇪🇸 We included things like countries we had visited, languages we want to learn as well as some things that are special to us! 🎨🖌️ #ScotlandLovesLanguages #FalkirkLovesLanguages @drparnellbps.bsky.social
This afternoon we presented timelines on famous Scots of our choice, complete with some fantastic PowerPoints and Canva designs to support our talks!🏴

🏴Scots Poetry🏴 This morning we started learning ‘The Coming o The Wee Malkies’ for our Scots Poetry Competition. We all have a paper copy home with us to practise with as well as a digital copy on Teams and OneNote. We will have a poetry recital in class on Thursday.
This week in P5, we have completed 3 Codemas Challenges using Scratch, MicroBit and Code Lab🎄👩💻 We really enjoyed getting to play each others coded festive song guessing game! Fantastic work Primary 5! 🤩⭐️
