Beancross Primary P5P class teacher 👩🏫
Today we had a fantastic rugby taster session with Grangemouth Stags! 🏉 The class loved getting involved and showing off their energy. Pupils also received flyers for the summer rugby sessions, held at Grangemouth Rugby Club every Tuesday from 6–7pm - completely free of charge!

Last week, we created our own superheroes for a Taught Writing lesson. This week, in art we brought our heroes to life by creating a night scene inspired by the work of Van Gogh 🎨🖌️
We have been learning about essential vs non-essential purchases in our maths money topic 🤑💵 Today we managed a weekly budget by prioritising our essential purchases before our treats!

World Book Day📚 As per our annual overview, pupils are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Thursday 5 March. Please note that Football strips are not permitted.
We have been learning about the Buddhist celebration Vesak. Today we created posters with lots of interesting facts that we researched about the celebration!
This week our class has been mastering the 9 times table ✏️ Can you guess which song we use to help us remember it? We’ve had so much fun with whole‑class games like Around the World, Buzz, and of course… a Blooket!

🏴Scots Poetry🏴 This morning we started learning ‘The Coming o The Wee Malkies’ for our Scots Poetry Competition. We all have a paper copy home with us to practise with as well as a digital copy on Teams and OneNote. We will have a poetry recital in class on Thursday.
This week in P5, we have completed 3 Codemas Challenges using Scratch, MicroBit and Code Lab🎄👩💻 We really enjoyed getting to play each others coded festive song guessing game! Fantastic work Primary 5! 🤩⭐️
