one of the cool things about transness is it can't be ended you can get rid of all of us there are currently but your kids and your kids' kids and and your kids' kids' kids will still be trans :)

Yet another issue where every single person who touched it needs to end up in jail for us to have any semblance of the rule of law. You cannot have a functional democracy where the government creates a plan to literally throw away votes from places that don't support the incumbent party.

I think the problem is that Trump can execute a plan like this, lose in court months later, then still point to the skewed election results and claim Republicans won.

He's just going to has the post office throw out the mail-in ballots for entire counties that didn't vote for him in 2024. It's the most efficient way to get what he wants.

Whenever I see a poll like this I always like to remind people that approval for interracial marriage in the US did not cross the 50% mark until 1994, when I was already in my twenties.

This thread hurts my heart to read. I have known three children who transitioned in my life, all who suffered profoundly until they were made free to live as they knew themselves to be. Once you have seen the difference it makes to be supported in that, you will never forgive those who strip it away

All of that changes from September. Full segregation & humiliation across the board. The school staff cried in the meeting. This will absolutely lead to children's deaths 1/2
She found that their company revived her, carried her away from the constant presence of last night's terror, little by little, till she could begin to look back on it as something that had happened, not something that was happening, that must always be happening to her.

Fun fact — and reminder: For all their focus on “officer safety” and arguments about aggressive tactics being necessary, no ICE officer has ever been killed in the line of duty. It is more deadly in the US to be an elementary school student than an ICE officer.
