We were very busy in (and tired after)PE today. We increased our working time and kept our recovery time the same in our stations. Which exercise did your child find the trickiest?
Today we used our description from our taught writing to create a visualisation. Very detailed work! Well done P6R.
Today we used a split screen to help us with our taught writing. We are describing a setting using our senses.
We displayed our knowledge of energy types and which appliances used which energy on an app of our choice.
Yesterday, we looked at different strategies to help us regulate our emotions. We explored meditation, breathing techniques and mindful colouring.

Today we summarised our class novel Wonder. We used PowerPoint to do this and we learned how to upload our completed presentation on to One Note to get feedback on them. Lots of great summaries and fantastic digital skills shown! Well done P6R 😎
We have been reading Wonder as our class novel. We had a quiz today to check our understanding of the reading we did. We completed this on Google Forms.
Today in maths, we focussed on negative numbers, fact families, multiplying 2 digit numbers by 11 and dividing with remainders. How did your child do?
Today we were introduced to Connectors books. These are non fiction and generate pupil led discussion. Ask your child what they learned from theirs!
We started a fitness block in PE today. We learned that cardiovascular meant your heart and lungs too!

We are multiplying decimal numbers by multiples of 10,100,1000 this week. We practised this by creating our own numbers with a dice generator.
We are enjoying using our plans on One Note to write our recounts of The Sneetches today. Pupil feedback suggests planning on the iPad makes writing less tiresome as they already know what they’re writing and they can amend spelling on it. Great work from 6R!
We worked on coding this afternoon and created a dance party!
We are learning to multiply decimal numbers by 10 100 1000 and their multiples.
We are writing another recount this week. This time we are recounting the Dr Seuss story of The Sneetches. Ask your child what the message in this story was.
Today we read more of Wonder. We had pupils opt to read with and without the audio.
We are working hard on using presentation apps. Today we used one of our choice to label 2D shapes in French.
We had great fun at PE working as a team passing the hula hoop to the next person without letting our hands go. We got very competitive and added a second hula hoop 🤭
Today we are writing a recount of an animation we watched. Ask your child what happened in it.
This afternoon we practised our research and presentation skills. We looked at how to search for information and how to put it in to our own words to make it ours. We used PowerPoint to record our research today and will look at features of this app later in the week to enhance it.
Today we worked on our multiplication skills and revised multiplying whole numbers by 10 and 100. We had some challenges on SumDog to work on too.
Yesterday we watched a short animation and planned our taught writing for this week. We will be writing a recount of this clip.
We worked hard on our mental maths today. We had some times tables questions set for us on SumDog as well to practise our times tables. Which times table does your child know best? Which do they need to work on?

We have been developing a better understanding of our Meta skills and this week in class, we looked at “Focussing” we discussed what it looked and sounded like in different situations and discussed strategies that helped up to focus. P6R did well…even though I tried hard to distract them 🤭
Today we practised partitioning numbers up to 7 digits with the help of some dice. Just don’t tell @mrawatson.bsky.social that we wrote on the desks. 🤫
