When the Dust Bowl clouds came to D.C., we learn in school, Congress went outside, looked at the dust storm, went back inside and passed measures to right the wrong. Now, wildfire smoke is hitting D.C. What will Congress do?
In a surprise change of heart, the pres will not talk about elections, but will express sadness over the wilfires and heatwaves and prohibit ice vehiclea from 2030 on, ban pickups from next year on, and announce higj speed raillines connecting all state capitals. Then I woke up.
It has been 237 years since the Bastille was stormed. Some people know how to stage a revolution.
If you address the nation and the nation does not listen, was there an address?
Cannot decide what is worse 1) Kane golfing with Trump 2) Argentina falling up the stairs with the help of referess.
US disengages from Somalia - "the fall of Mogadishu a probable hypothesis." So much winning.
« La chute de Mogadiscio est une hypothèse probable » : en Somalie, la mission de paix de l’Union africaine en péril après la fin annoncée du financement américain
"Donald Trump was not enough: the United States humiliated"
Donald Trump n'a pas suffi : les États-Unis humiliés par la Belgique et éliminés de leur Mondial
No fun rooting against the country you live in, but Belgie 🇧🇪 j'espere pour 5:0. Allons!
On NATO: “We don’t need their money — we don’t need anything,” Trump said. “I just want loyalty.” Loyalty? NATO???
Now that it is the 5th, the same questions: Are the files released? Is the Strait open? Are we killing fiaherfolk? Is there corruption? Do we have democratic oversight? Are people hungry and homeless? Do we fight the climate crisis? Is the govt abiding by our laws? The basis for my vote.
Sky News: '"Our history is one of people carving a great civilisation out of the wilderness," Vance concluded.' Sure, JD. And what wilderness, may I ask?
The great "I think climate crisis is a hoax" flooding of basementsof 2026. Tried to drive to a friend's house to help and turned around bc the street was a lake. And I live on a hill.
Bumblebee on milkweed. Small things that keep the world going a bit longer.

FT Exclusive: The International Energy Agency has forecast US-based spending on power plants fuelled by coal and gas will reach $50bn this year, as companies rush to build out data centres. ft.trib.al/aakY0J7
First time I am walking away from publishing a text. Editor said I have to scientifically reference and demonstrate that the climate crisis is caused by industrial capitalism. Claimed it was a political statement. Not playing those games anymore. I am not citing that the sky is blue, either.
Drove 130 miles to a college visit with my kids yesterday. Plugged the car into the (free) slow charger. Came back 4 hours later, drove back. Waved at all the gas stations. I can do that in Iowa. We can do it everywhere.
I guess Donald will have to have a stern talk with Bibi, and then we will see what's what.
Does this mean Trump has now ended 15 wars (sorry I lost count)?
Beginning to look like the "sustainability* initiative (the term a veil behind which racism hid) is being rejected in most areas. #Switzerland
