This image from Royale Studio's offshoot, Dolphin Photography, ca 1961, broke new ground with its portrayal of a biker fetish culture. It anticipated the leather imagery of 'Guys in Uniform' studio (mid-70s). More of the set at mitchmen's Royale gallery.
To make this drawing, I took a copy of Tom of Finland's sketch from his Bar series and finished it in his style, to the best of my ability. It's NoTom and not Mitchell either, I claim no credit, but am proud of the result.
