A new health advisory calls on AI developers to protect young people

A new report by the American Psychological Association calls on AI developers to build in features to protect the mental health of teen and young adults.

The research grants canceled this week will stop treatments in rural communities, will stop the study of cures for conditions that affect all people, and will take away jobs from lower and middle class folks who live in “red” states. Period.

Just spent two days in London. Upon hearing my accent, 100% of people started talking about Trump and how the entire world has a negative impression of him and the US now. Never had this experience on any trip abroad before. Do folks in America know how poorly he is regarded across the globe?

Here’s what’s needed: Describe how loss of NIH funds is not just affecting the campus, but how does it affect “main street” in your town/community. How does funding affect employment, health care, services, etc off campus? Tell your local and state leaders and/or tag them here!

Let's be very clear: Gutting science/education sectors and calling it 'cost-savings' is manipulative and false. The truth: People in ALL states will lose jobs, cures for your diagnoses will be delayed, tuition costs will spike. The world depends on US Science and Ed and both will suffer severely.
